This ½ trip started off slow with pervading winds of 25mph.   This group was determined and managed to catch both reds and trout.  The trout were caught on live bait and the reds were caught on soft plastic in the shallow back lakes of Greens Bayou.
Thanks Mark for the trip, Captain Mike

This was my first Kayak trip with four fisher men and I hope not my last.  We loaded their two Kayaks on my boat the night before and planed our fishing trip.  Two anglers fished out of the Kayaks and worked the back bay lakes while the other two anglers wade fished with me.  This group took turns fishing out of the Kayaks and wade fishing and was very successful catching a variety of reds, drum, and trout.  It was clear to see that they had a blast Kayaking and fishing.
Thanks for my intro to Kayak fishing,  Captain Bo

Fishing as the sun rose over the bay my group from Sigma Granite got busy fishing.  The group caught reds and drums as we fished the back lakes of West Matagorda Bay.  This group fished with artificial soft plastic and the "Glup" was the bait of choice for the fish today.  The one lady angler I had on the boat had the last laugh with her two male anglers friends, she out fished them both.  Great Job Moncia.
Thanks for the trip, Captain Bo

Fish Dr. James and Dr. Lee and caught some nice trout wade fishing West Matagorda Bay.  Dr. James used live bait and Dr. Lee waded and used plastic bait.  Both guys caught full limits and enjoyed the day on the water.  Picutres to follow.  Thanks for the trip guys, looking forward to seeing you on the bay, not the dentist chair. :)
